This event will be played as regular Duplicate Matchpoint pairs session. Experts and non-experts have been paired up in advance and players have been notified by email or telephone.
Non-experts in bridge terms means players in their first 4 years of play. Some are novices - in the first bridge year. For this event non-experts, you will take the lead on what you are most comfortable playing.
Our experts are experienced players who have played at club, county, national and some even at international levels for many years. Just like you, we all love to play bridge. Please know that we were all beginners once. And we are delighted to share a little of our knowledge and skills with you to help you have a wonderful tournament experience.
There will be break at half way, when afternoon tea will be served. Refreshments will be available through the afternoon.
All going well, the results will be displayed throughout the afternoon and at the finish of play. Hand records with what everyone else did will be published on the Essex Bridge website after the event.
Official prizes will be awarded at the County AGM in May to which you are all welcome to attend.
